| this is a historic saree made still made the same way it was made more than 2000 years back. the sari derived its name from a vlillage named paithan. currently the saree is made in paithan, yeola and aurangabad. these saree are work of art rathjer than a product. each saris is completely handmade. it take a month or more to make a simple basic paithani saree. for some more elaborate exquisite ones can take upto a year. this elegant saree is still a popular as a wedding saree for many brides. this sit is dedicated to celebrate and educate the ones interested in this historic fabric and sarees.
